"Longtime Snagit User's Take"
I've been using Snagit for quite a while now; it's a solid choice compared to pricier options (like Adobe) if you don't have heavy graphics needs. My main use is taking screenshots and sketching out system architecture diagrams for tech documentation, so I'm not diving into heavy photo editing at all. It has never crashed on me.
As for Camtasia, I've been at it for two years. It can be a bit buggy - I occasionally get this strange black screen when I clip video segments, and the file sizes it churns out seem a bit too big. Plus, the media directory isn't linked to the project, so if you shift a project around, you gotta relink all your media. Still, I'd recommend it for video production - just to clarify, I'm not a power user.
Customer support is decent - sometimes they can assist, and other times, well, not so much!

"Camtasia Has Always Been My Go-To"
Yeah, it took some time to achieve 60fps, but it’s finally there. I mean, it’s not After Effects, but it does a solid job rendering 1080p 60fps videos. And let’s be real, it’s not Premiere either. You can whip up a video in literally five minutes and just move on. In my view, it’s more than enough for a decent YouTube channel... no need for some fancy high-end studio editor for a gaming video. As long as your encoder is set to 60fps for fast-paced, heavy-duty games, you’re all set.
